Shari & David's Treehouse is so much more than a cottage; it's a serene luxury escape, right on the water with breathtaking views and it's incredibly well designed. It's also a nest; cozy, purposeful, calm, radiating with natural elements and charm, think: stone & wood, wool blankets from Iceland, throws made by Pendelton. If the details in the home, like the gorgeous tiles in the bathroom, the rattan lamps, the luxury floor mats with the most beautiful designs don't win you over, look no further than the multiple outdoor seating areas on opposite sides of the home, plus a nice and cool "sunken" living room under the cottage. Then there is the brand new deck extension which continues with their zero gravity theme.. my kids loved that. Our family trip, 7 of us in total, (ages from 12-79), had an amazing time here. The kids loved the nets that are extremely comfortable, diving off of the dock, SUP, canoeing and the automatic ice maker- lol. This is such an incredible property- bravo!

We had an amazing stay at this cozy cottage! The location is peaceful and scenic, with a beautiful lake just steps away. The kitchen and living area were perfect—well-equipped and comfortable for relaxing evenings. The outdoor patio, private hot tub, and BBQ area made it feel like our own little retreat. Everything was spotless, and the host’s communication was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway!

The host has gone above and beyond to make the cottage experience exceptional; the host has a keen eye for decor and making the cottage feel comfortable, cozy and functional; like being at home.
The appliances, kitchenware are above average/top notch. We had everything we needed and the special touches made it a lovely experience; Nespresso machine with pods; condiments; lovely hand soaps and lotions for bathroom, shower and kitchen; comfortable beds with decorative cozy bedding and fresh bath towels.
Roomy space outdoors on the deck for lounging, and eating/playing games at the table. Enjoyed having some grilled meals with the use of the BBQ.
Nice little beach front and water paraphernalia for water activities.
We had lovely stay at the Cabana Cottage and we thank you for hosting us and sharing your space.

What can I say about Shari, David and their two daughters. They were the best hosts ever. We had our family here who we wanted to give an experience of the cottage lifestyle. Unfortunately the original cottage we booked for the weekend turned into a nightmare as it didn’t reflect the cottage properly and we had to look for another spot at the last moment. Thankfully we found Shari’s cottage who was gracious enough to allow us book it at the last moment.
What started as a nightmare of a weekend cuz of the first booking very quickly turned into the best cottage weekend we have ever spent. This place has the perfect setting right by the three mile lake. Shari and her family also came up and were staying at the cottage right next to ours and they were so accommodating and generous. Even took our family on their boat in the water.
The cottage had Kayaks, pedalboards, canoes etc and we had the best time here.
Thank you again Shari for sharing your beautiful piece of heaven with us.

A Hidden Gem!
We recently spent a couple of nights at this charming cottage and were absolutely blown away! My husband is notoriously picky, making it quite a challenge to impress him, but we were both in awe the entire time.
The cottage is clearly designed with love and creativity, showcasing attention to detail that made our stay feel special. The highlight for us was the amazing beds, which felt like something you'd expect in a luxury hotel. We slept so well and felt incredibly rested!
Additionally, the water filtration system throughout the house was a bonus; we loved being able to drink from the tap without any concerns.
The location is simply beautiful, surrounded by nature, and the hosts were exceptionally responsive, making check-in and communication seamless.
Overall, this cottage exceeded our expectations, and we can't recommend it enough. We'll definitely be back!

Our stay was excellent. We spent 3 days there over the Canada Day holiday. Communication with the hosts was always quick, and the information we received was clear and complete. We had no trouble getting there – just enter the address into Google Maps and follow the directions. The place is lovely, not very large, but perfect for 5 to 6 people. Everything was clean. We enjoyed the fire pits, the water gear (kayak, stand-up paddleboard), and the outdoor hot tub, surrounded by cozy lights. Everything was working perfectly. We even had some complimentary Nespresso pods and local beers! We’ll definitely be coming back!

The stay at Shari's was excellent and relaxing. From the moment I entered the house, I felt the need to extend it but it was not available. It is an excellent place to relax. I recommend it with confidence to everyone who wants a moment of relaxation with their family or a couple... the cabin blends perfectly with the fresh air and the lake... I felt great. I will definitely come back. Thank you very much.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear we were in for something special. Sherry was an exceptional host — incredibly helpful, warm, and always communicative, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free.
The cottage itself was absolutely stunning. Immaculately maintained, beautifully decorated, and set against the backdrop of Muskoka’s natural beauty — it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The lake right in front of the cottage was breathtaking, perfect for peaceful mornings and sunset views.
There was so much to do, both at the cottage and nearby. Whether we were relaxing by the water, exploring the area, or just enjoying the calm, every moment felt like a true escape. Plus, the cottage was fully stocked with all the accessories and essentials we needed, which made everything so easy and comfortable.

The Water’s Edge cottage is absolutely amazing. Cozy, clean and full of charm. Attention to little details that make your stay memorable is stunning. Our family had a wonderful stay there. The host, David and Shari are very responsive with any questions you might have. I would recommend this place if you are looking for private retreat and lifetime lasting memories. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful stay! Cozy and private - just as described. Hosts were very responsive and helpful even over a holiday weekend. Can see how it would be more suitable for a family - we were 6 friends sharing 1 bathroom (doable over 2 nights). Not a surprise though, the listing clearly states this and it didn’t take away from a lovely experience here. Would highly recommend for a quiet escape from the city. Thank you for hosting us 💛
