About

The Muskoka Nest is a jewel of a cottage perched up in the trees right on the edge of Three Mile Lake. With nearly floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides of the main living space, the name starts to make a lot of sense with the non-stop views framed by majestic trees. Steps to a sandy beach, beautiful sunsets from the dock, it doesn't get better than this. Want to travel with another family, check out our other listing next door! We love this area and would love to keep our neighbours happy! Fireworks are only permitted on specific holidays as well. Spending time at the dock! This is one of our favourite places to be in the world - we think you’ll love it. Need More Space? Ask about additional spaces close by if you have a larger group!

Wow! What an absolute gem this cottage is! We booked a last minute weekend getaway and we couldn't have been happier. The cottage is cozy and beautifully decorated. It is right on the lake with everything you could ever need and more! We relaxed in the hot tub, used the BBQ for dinner and sat out under the stars. The lake plunge was the perfect way to wake up on Sunday morning before our drive back to the city. This cottage is incredible and we will definitely be back!

Shari and David’s place was perfect for our short getaway, we took our dogs on the lake on a canoe, saw the northern lights from the patio, grilled, relaxed and had an amazing time. Highly recommend and would love to visit again.

The Muskoka Nest is an absolute gem - a cozy, well-appointed cottage tucked away in the trees on a beautiful, quiet lake. The unit was clean, looked like the photos (the deck area is even more impressive in person!), and truly felt like "home" to us (4 adults, 3 kids, and a dog) for the weekend. We had everything we needed and more. While the road in is a bit tricky with some sharp turns, it is more than doable, and the cottage is conveniently located a 15-30 minute drive from nearby towns, restaurants, hikes, etc. The hosts are also truly lovely. We had issues with a different AirBnB rental and in scrambling to find a replacement cottage, stumbled upon The Nest, and the hosts were so gracious to allow us to book same-day and even check in early - we so appreciated it !! Communication was friendly and proactive throughout. Five stars, would recommend (and hope to be back some day). :)

The Nest in Muskoka is the perfect romantic escape. Beautifully designed with cozy touches and stunning lake views, it feels private and serene. Mornings on the deck and evenings by the firepit made our stay unforgettable. A true gem we can’t wait to return to! Thank you Shari and David ☺️

Find us

Parking is temporarily near the cottages, with spots above on the wider road or by the trailer at the top of the hill and is limited to 1 or 2 cars. We strongly recommend 4WD and snow tires in the winter because although it is so very beautiful, the weather can be snowy and the roads are gravel and hilly at the end. We do have connections with local people who plough the road and driveway and do their best to ensure it is accessible.
