Wow! What an absolute gem this cottage is! We booked a last minute weekend getaway and we couldn't have been happier.
The cottage is cozy and beautifully decorated. It is right on the lake with everything you could ever need and more! We relaxed in the hot tub, used the BBQ for dinner and sat out under the stars. The lake plunge was the perfect way to wake up on Sunday morning before our drive back to the city. This cottage is incredible and we will definitely be back!

Shari and David’s place was perfect for our short getaway, we took our dogs on the lake on a canoe, saw the northern lights from the patio, grilled, relaxed and had an amazing time. Highly recommend and would love to visit again.

The Muskoka Nest is an absolute gem - a cozy, well-appointed cottage tucked away in the trees on a beautiful, quiet lake. The unit was clean, looked like the photos (the deck area is even more impressive in person!), and truly felt like "home" to us (4 adults, 3 kids, and a dog) for the weekend. We had everything we needed and more. While the road in is a bit tricky with some sharp turns, it is more than doable, and the cottage is conveniently located a 15-30 minute drive from nearby towns, restaurants, hikes, etc.
The hosts are also truly lovely. We had issues with a different AirBnB rental and in scrambling to find a replacement cottage, stumbled upon The Nest, and the hosts were so gracious to allow us to book same-day and even check in early - we so appreciated it !! Communication was friendly and proactive throughout.
Five stars, would recommend (and hope to be back some day). :)

We had a fantastic stay at the Cabana! The place was immaculately clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and cozy stay — it truly felt like a home away from home.
The hosts were amazing — incredibly responsive and welcoming, with outstanding communication from the start.
One of the highlights was definitely the lake. My dad caught 10 pike over our 3-day stay using the rowboat, which made his trip! We also enjoyed time out on the kayak and canoe, taking in the peaceful surroundings, enjoyed hiking as well.
Having our meals on the patio overlooking the lake was an amazing experience, we loved relaxing with that view. We also spent a few hours exploring the charming town of Huntsville, just a 25-minute drive away.
If you're going with extended family, the neighboring cabin, “The Nest”, looks like an awesome option to rent together.
We were extremely comfortable throughout our stay and enjoyed every minute. Hope to be back ! Thank you Shari and David !

The Nest in Muskoka is the perfect romantic escape. Beautifully designed with cozy touches and stunning lake views, it feels private and serene. Mornings on the deck and evenings by the firepit made our stay unforgettable. A true gem we can’t wait to return to!

Shari’s place was the most creative use of space in a relaxing, beautiful atmosphere. Our family had so much fun fishing and enjoying the lake. Her place was clean with everything we needed to feel at home.

Shari & David's Treehouse is so much more than a cottage; it's a serene luxury escape, right on the water with breathtaking views and it's incredibly well designed. It's also a nest; cozy, purposeful, calm, radiating with natural elements and charm, think: stone & wood, wool blankets from Iceland, throws made by Pendelton. If the details in the home, like the gorgeous tiles in the bathroom, the rattan lamps, the luxury floor mats with the most beautiful designs don't win you over, look no further than the multiple outdoor seating areas on opposite sides of the home, plus a nice and cool "sunken" living room under the cottage. Then there is the brand new deck extension which continues with their zero gravity theme.. my kids loved that. Our family trip, 7 of us in total, (ages from 12-79), had an amazing time here. The kids loved the nets that are extremely comfortable, diving off of the dock, SUP, canoeing and the automatic ice maker- lol. This is such an incredible property- bravo!

The host has gone above and beyond to make the cottage experience exceptional; the host has a keen eye for decor and making the cottage feel comfortable, cozy and functional; like being at home.
The appliances, kitchenware are above average/top notch. We had everything we needed and the special touches made it a lovely experience; Nespresso machine with pods; condiments; lovely hand soaps and lotions for bathroom, shower and kitchen; comfortable beds with decorative cozy bedding and fresh bath towels.
Roomy space outdoors on the deck for lounging, and eating/playing games at the table. Enjoyed having some grilled meals with the use of the BBQ.
Nice little beach front and water paraphernalia for water activities.
We had lovely stay at the Cabana Cottage and we thank you for hosting us and sharing your space.

What can I say about Shari, David and their two daughters. They were the best hosts ever. We had our family here who we wanted to give an experience of the cottage lifestyle. Unfortunately the original cottage we booked for the weekend turned into a nightmare as it didn’t reflect the cottage properly and we had to look for another spot at the last moment. Thankfully we found Shari’s cottage who was gracious enough to allow us book it at the last moment.
What started as a nightmare of a weekend cuz of the first booking very quickly turned into the best cottage weekend we have ever spent. This place has the perfect setting right by the three mile lake. Shari and her family also came up and were staying at the cottage right next to ours and they were so accommodating and generous. Even took our family on their boat in the water.
The cottage had Kayaks, pedalboards, canoes etc and we had the best time here.
Thank you again Shari for sharing your beautiful piece of heaven with us.
